The India National Cricket Team will be taking on Pakistan in their first match of Asia Cup 2022 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on August 28, Sunday. The match will begin at 07:30 pm IST with the toss taking place at 7:00 pm IST. This will be the first time after the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 that both sides will be taking on each other.
Both India and Pakistan have named string sides for Asia Cup 2022. However, their potent pacers, Jasprit Bumrah from India and Shaheen Shah Afridi from Pakistan, have been ruled out of the tournament as both these superstars are currently nursing injuries. For Pakistan, Mohammad Wasim Jnr. was also ruled out of the tournament, a couple of days before the inception of Asia Cup 2022.
